That show does have some good tips but I am find now that it's becoming to commercialized.

Their tips are centered around what ever product they push or whatever company is sponsoring them.

It's smart business but I think it takes away from the message.

Thanks for the comment Gaida

I love the Biggest Loser show. It's amazing the amount of weight they do lose. The show also give lots of great tips and exercise ideas to help motivate you. Then again I've heard that the only motivation you really need is to look at yourself naked in front of a mirror.

The winners definitely have the most dramatic changes. Last years winner ( I can't remember his name ????) lost over 200 Lbs, The difference was like night and day.

Gary was one of my favorites. He also did a recap of every episode, the season after he won for the Biggest Losers main website.

Thanks for the comment Kimberly

The Biggest Loser is definately one of my favorite shows for sure.

I really like how some of the recipes are healthier versions of your problem foods.

I don't think you need to cut out all the junk to lose weight, that is how you set yourself up for failure.

Lady Rose, Congratulations on your weight loss 90 lbs is an amazing feat. You should really be proud of yourself.

Thanks for your comments

I never liked biggest loser - but then I watched a marathon of it just before the new season started and I changed my mind -- I think you're right - the awareness it brings to the folks and the inspiration far out weighs the flaws.

I got their cookbook a few months ago and I do like some of the recipes.

I feel the main point to learn from it all is that it's going to take hard work and dedication - getting healthy and losing a lot of weight (and keeping it off) is not possible with a quick fix or fad. But it is SOOOOOO worth it and can be done.

Health and Happiness, Lady Rose (over 90 lost so far, a mere 50ish to go)
