P90X at Walmart
This is just a quick post to let you know that I saw p90X on sale at Walmart today. I have been receiving a lot of emails and traffic from people wanting to get p90X but don’t really want to buy it online.
I did a little digging on prices and Walmart is the lowest by far. This is for the complete p90x set nutrition guide, calendar, workout logs, and DVD’s. They are offering it for $119.97 Canadian. I would imagine that it would be somewhere around the $99 mark in the states.
Amazon.com is selling it for $179 ($214 CAD) US. I’m not sure why they sell so many at this price???
Beachbody.com The creators of this product are selling it for 3 payments of $39.95 plus $19.95 shipping and handling. That’s a total of $139.80 US ($167 CAD)
Showcase (sells “as seen on TV” products) They have P90X displayed right when you walk in the front entrance of the store with a big $149.99 CAD (Canadian Dollars) price tag on it. I mentioned that Walmart had them beat on the price by $30 and the sales lady said they would be lower the price to compete. When I said “but you’re not going to match it are you?” she gave me a dirty look.
If you have ever been waiting for p90x to go on sale now would be the time to get it. I’ll be posting this deal on debtslaying.com as well. One final note, the price tags at Walmart do say limited quantity purchase while supplies last. So go get it already.
Edit – I have seen ads online offering P90X at $70 and under, please be aware that you are not getting the complete and proper P90X system. Those are usually copies and are made with very poor quality. Amazon.com uses third party vendors for their P90X supply and quite a few people have complained about the quality as well. Stick with either Walmart (great price and return policy) or Beachbody.com directly.

For any website owner that uses Google analytics to track who and how people are coming to their site, it baffles me when I see that someone finds my site through a keyword phrase and spends 0:00 time on whatever page the entered on. Obviously that particular post didn’t meet their needs.
Here are the top 3 topics or phrases that have the highest number of people spending the least amount of time on that post.

P90X
This one is all over the map. There are so many different aspects to this program, that people are finding my site through a wide variety of phrases. I have only talked about p90X a few times but I’m getting a lot of people looking for info on it.
Here are some of the recurring questions which I will attempt to answer here.
Can you buy p90x at Walmart?
No you can get it through Beachbody.com, or at an As seen on TV store.
Can you do p90x if you are out of shape or overweight?
Yes you can. P90X is intense and intended to take fit people and make them extremely fit. But if you are overweight and have 30 – 40 pounds to lose you can still do P90X. Just take the fit test and see if you meet the minimum fitness requirements to start: P90X fit test
How much weight can you lose on P90X?
This all depends on how much weight you have to lose to begin with but 10 to 30 pounds in 90 days is not uncommon. I’ve seen a few people lose 40. Keep in mind that you are going to be hopefully adding muscle so your total “weight loss” might not be the best indicator of success.
Take a look at those articles and let me know what you think. Do you have any suggestions or improvements that can be made to them?

Read MoreTony Horton’s Revolutionary Workout Programs Offer Fitness Solutions for All
This is a guest post by Barbara Cronin of www.HealthyNewAge.com
Known to many as “The Godfather” of extreme workouts, Tony Horton is a personal trainer and the creator of numerous outstanding exercise programs. His innovative exercises promise to get you fit and take you to the next level of fitness and beyond.
Tony has trained major movie celebrities, rock stars, CEO’s, and the everyday person looking to improve their health and wellbeing. With a unique mix of encouragement, humor, and discipline, Tony makes working out fun and fast with results that will astound you. Using Tony’s programs, people get in the best shape of their lives in record time.
Tony has been training countless individuals across the country since the late 1980′s, but he wasn’t always in such amazing shape.
A Humble Start
Born in Westley, Rhode Island and raised in Trumbull, Connecticut, Tony was a self-described “quintessential 98 pound weakling” for most of his early life.
Hating exercise and sports, and then developing a love for fast foods instead of his mother’s healthy home cooking, Tony didn’t have a fit, ripped body in those days.
That was soon to change. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, Tony headed off to Hollywood to pursue his acting dreams. Feeling exhausted and overworked in Hollywood, Tony convinced himself that he didn’t have time to eat right or exercise.
The Transformation Begins
Although Tony’s ambition and dreams were strong, he was at an all time physical low in his life. Discouraged with his health and prospects in Hollywood, he realized (with the help of his talent agent) that it was time to turn his life around. Getting fit was the first step.
From that day on, Tony’s life would drastically change for the better.
Joining the famed World Gym in Venice, California, Tony began the journey of a lifetime. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno both worked out regularly at the World Gym and captured Tony’s attention. He watched closely, asked questions, and read every book related to health and fitness he could get his hands on.
His evolving knowledge, coupled with cardiovascular training from world-class triathlete Mark Sisson, gave birth to Tony’s unique fitness program. Focusing on exercises for speed, flexibility, and balance, Tony developed a fit, streamlined appearance not the bulky and stiff look many body builders had.
As Tony continued his workout programs and got in better shape, he began to notice other remarkable changes in his life. He started to feel better than ever before, his mind was clear and sharp, and he became more productive in his daily life. Tony felt amazing and his world expanded. He started rock climbing, in-line skating, yoga, Pilates, and plyometrics. As he learned more and applied himself, his overall wellbeing improved. He felt better and looked better.
The changes in Tony were unmistakable. Friends and acquaintances started asking questions. They wanted to know what he was doing to transform his body and life. Word spread fast everyone wanted to do what Tony Horton was doing. Whatever his methods, he was sure doing it right!
Tony Captures Hollywood’s Attention
Before long, word found its way to legendary rock musician Tom Petty. Tony helped Tom get into the best shape of his life. Other rock stars started training with Tony, too. This was the launch of his incredible career as one of the most sought after fitness trainers in Hollywood and across the country.
Continuing to build his career, Tony began his own fitness center, ASH Fitness in Santa Monica, California, and became the spokesperson for NordicTrack. His acclaimed techniques and videos have appeared in dozens of magazines including the prestigious Men’s Fitness.
In the late 1990′s Tony was hired by a major Hollywood studio to condition the entire cast of the motion picture The 13th Warrior.
Tony Horton and Beachbody: A Groundbreaking Fitness Partnership
In 1996, Tony met Beachbody CEO Carl Daikeler. Hitting it off immediately, the two became friends and soon after Tony became Carl’s personal trainer. After 90 days of training with Tony, Carl was awed by the results. He couldn’t believe the changes that he saw in his body, changes he never imagined could happen, and all in just 90 days.
In 1998, Tony and Beachbody collaborated and created the Great Body Guaranteed! Workout series. However, the launch of the Power 90 In-home Boot Camp is what propelled Tony to Beachbody celebrity status.
What’s emerged from the pairing of Tony Horton and Beachbody are exercise programs that have forever changed the way people achieve fast weight loss and enjoy getting fit.
Tony has continued to develop motivating, results producing fitness programs since the Power 90 In-home Boot Camp first debuted. Many of the programs are available at Beachbody.com, which promotes many fitness superstars, including Chalene Johnson and her ChaLEAN Extreme workout DVDs. The Power 90 series is referred to as P90.
The P90 Series: A Breakthrough in Exercise
The Power 90 In-home Boot Camp utilizes Tony’s exclusive Sectional Progression training technique. Each movement targets a specific zone for maximum fat burning and toning results. If you train for just 30 minutes a day, you’re guaranteed a great body in only 90 days.
Expanding on the huge success of the Power 90 workouts, Tony has added three more P90 workout programs. These routines build on the original P90 program.
Power 90 Master Series offers advanced workouts targeting specific problem areas for maximum body sculpting and muscle definition. Plyo Legs, Core Cardio, and UML (upper, middle, lower) are just a few of the specialized routines.
There’s P90X, a leading system of 12 sweat inducing, muscle pumping workouts. The exercises target muscle groups like legs and back, and chest and arms. They include yoga, plyometrics, and many other methods. Also built-in is a 3-phase total nutrition plan, special nutritional supplement options, a detailed fitness guide, a tracking calendar, online peer support, and more. This program offers 100% satisfaction guarantee to transform your body from ordinary to extraordinary in just 90 days.
Once you’ve mastered P90X and are ready to step it up, Tony has created the P90X Plus Series. This workout cycle offers brand new moves and never-before-seen routines. You’ll get improved results and break through fitness plateaus with these intense workouts. Jason Scheff, the lead singer of the band Chicago, created music exclusively for the P90X Plus Series. (Jason also uses P90X programs.) This advanced series is recommended only for individuals who have successfully completed P90X.

It’s Never Too Late (or too soon) to Get Fit!
Tony’s commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of people isn’t just for adults. Check out Tony and The Kids. Designed for children ages 5-12, Tony entertains kids as he takes them through fun and simple routines that almost anyone can do. He also has a special chat with the kids about eating right, staying active, and making healthy choices.
It doesn’t stop there. In Tony and The Folks, anyone over age 55 can get fit, after all it’s never too late! This fun half hour exercise program eases you into exercise. You’ll get your heart pumping and blood flowing with low-impact exercises. Benefits are increased energy, reduced joint stiffness, and improved flexibility, strength, and balance.
There are also supplements created by Tony. The P90X Peak Health Formula is a high quality multivitamin that helps your body get the vital nutrients it needs to perform at its best. P90X Peak Performance Protein Bars come in three flavors and are packed with 20 grams of protein to maximize your workout. P90X Results and Recovery Formula helps to refuel after intense workouts. With four part carbs to one part protein, muscles will repair faster.
Tony continues to work everyday in creating revolutionary exercise programs to get people healthy and fit. Continuing to excel as a personal trainer in Santa Monica, he is dedicated to helping people get into the best shape of their lives. Tony also lectures and participates in live online Beachbody chats.

Read MoreP90X
Ok, so I have decided to take the plunge and start the P90X workout program. I am coming to the end of my current workout routine at the gym and it’s time to mix it up a bit.
For those that don’t know what P90X is, it’s a home workout program designed by trainer Tony Horton. The system consists of 12 workouts (listed below) a diet plan and a workout calender. You can see the sales pitch HERE.
I was very fortunate in the fact that I didn’t have to pay for the program. A friend of mine purchased it several months ago and just never really kept up with it. I traded it to for my Abs Diet book. It retails for $119.95 so I’m happy with the savings.
I’ve had a chance to watch all of the workouts, read some reviews, watch the infomercial (I have it PVR’d) and look over the diet plan, which I will not be following. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it’s just that they really like to promote their own power bars and shakes.
There are 3 phases to P90X nutrition plan:
Phase 1 – Fat Shredder:
Focused on High protein meal plan designed to help give you strength and “shred” your fat.
Phase 2 – Energy Boost:
A little more balanced meal plan where you get to add some complex carbs back into your diet.
Phase 3 – Endurance Maximizer
Much more focus on complex carbs, pretty moderate protein and fat intakes.
Nothing groundbreaking here but it fits with the overall theme of changing things often. I will be following something similar but more based on my own likes and dislikes. I already eat a lot of protein rich foods so I’ll be focusing on cut back on the carbs and saturated fat.
What equipment to you need?
Other than the DVD’s themselves you’ll need to get the following:
-
* Good quality yoga mat or a rubber mat.
* Dumbbells with a decent amount of weight (10-30 lbs) or resistance bands.
* A Chair or a Stool.
* A chin up/pull up bar (this can be difficult to obtain, depending on your living arrangements)
Here is a picture of my homemade pull up bar. You can buy doorway pull up bars that are just as effective. Here is an example
. Mine is very crude but for $20 it gets the job done.

The 12 At Home Workouts:
These are the 12 workouts that come with the program:
* Chest and Back
* Plyometrics
* Shoulders and Arms
* Yoga X
* Legs and Back
* Kenpo X
* X Stretch
* Core Synergistics
* Chest, Shoulders and Triceps
* Back and Biceps
* Cardio X
* Ab Ripper X
None of them look even remotely easy. But that is the whole point of this program. To work yourself hard and push your body to be the best it can be. To coin their slogan you need to “Bring It” and man do I plan to.
Who else is doing P90X?
I want to know who else out there is doing P90X? Have you tried it already and if so was it all you thought it would be? Let me know your thoughts and wish me luck. By the looks of the Ab Ripper X workout I think I’ll need it.
