You are so right - I have come to the conclusion that "diets" simply don't work because every diet out there is just restricting you in some way or another. I believe you can pretty much eat anything - just in moderation! Of course you should try and eat the "healthier" things first, and more often, and try to not eat too many fatty or sugary foods, but there is nothing wrong with the occasional piece of cake or chocolate, as the key is - moderation! - Moderation can be quite hard though if you like something very much... ;)

Hey Kery,

That diet mentality is really bad. It's what keeps people fat. I'm glad you're back on track again.

Heh, I'm currently (re)learning it! Because I was silly and tried to do things too well, count every little thing, whatever... The result? "Diet mentality" and binges. For someone who never had a binge-eating problem before the past two months, that sure was a shock. So I went back to my good old "everything in moderation" habits, and I'm feeling way better mentally and physically (not to mention the cravings slowly going away, or being weaker).

So, yeah, moderation is a good key IMHO.
