P90X at Walmart

This is just a quick post to let you know that I saw p90X on sale at Walmart today. I have been receiving a lot of emails and traffic from people wanting to get p90X but don’t really want to buy it online.

I did a little digging on prices and Walmart is the lowest by far. This is for the complete p90x set nutrition guide, calendar, workout logs, and DVD’s. They are offering it for $119.97 Canadian. I would imagine that it would be somewhere around the $99 mark in the states.

Amazon.com is selling it for $179 ($214 CAD) US. I’m not sure why they sell so many at this price???

Beachbody.com The creators of this product are selling it for 3 payments of $39.95 plus $19.95 shipping and handling. That’s a total of $139.80 US ($167 CAD)

Showcase (sells “as seen on TV” products) They have P90X displayed right when you walk in the front entrance of the store with a big $149.99 CAD (Canadian Dollars) price tag on it. I mentioned that Walmart had them beat on the price by $30 and the sales lady said they would be lower the price to compete. When I said “but you’re not going to match it are you?” she gave me a dirty look.

If you have ever been waiting for p90x to go on sale now would be the time to get it. I’ll be posting this deal on debtslaying.com as well. One final note, the price tags at Walmart do say limited quantity purchase while supplies last. So go get it already.

Edit – I have seen ads online offering P90X at $70 and under, please be aware that you are not getting the complete and proper P90X system. Those are usually copies and are made with very poor quality. Amazon.com uses third party vendors for their P90X supply and quite a few people have complained about the quality as well. Stick with either Walmart (great price and return policy) or Beachbody.com directly.

  1. Now THIS is good news indeed! I got my copy from eBay … probably for more than $99 as well.

    Thanks for the headsup!

  2. Thanks so much Steve. I have been looking for a P90x system to start my weight loss and get ready for the summer – going on vacation and want to loose some holiday weight. I am going to take a look at the local Walmart and see if they have it.

  3. This made me chuckle. It seems as if some people have forgotten how to handle the art of haggling. “She gave me an ugly look.” She needs to understand that in order for their store to compete, they’ve gotta come down to Wal-Mart’s price. Lets face it, who’s going to sell more? Wal-Mart and their high-volume of customers with relatively low prices, or Showcase and their “as-seen-on-tv” gimmicks?

I have to say, though, Walmart didn’t have a P90X system the last time I went hunting around for it. Is it only at certain locations?

  4. I’ve also seen P90X at Shopper’s Drug Mart for $119.95.

I purchased P90X from the website last year. Instead of starting the program properly, I jumped to one of the bonus workouts and dove in (literally!!). Big mistake. I injured my right shoulder trying to do a downward facing dog pushup. I shelved the discs and about 3 months ago decided I would start to do some other exercises to prepare myself for P90X. I’m glad I did. I started the full “Classic” program almost a month ago and the program is very intense, very good, but intense. The program is really targetted at fit people looking to push it to the next level. I believe someone starting out can use P90X, but needs to be very careful. Know your limits and if something seems as though it would be too tough for you, it probably is. Ease yourself into the program and keep building. Most of the workouts are about an hour. When I first started, I was exhausted by 40 minutes. Now, I can pretty much complete each disc fully, however cannot match the number of reps. Listen to your body, rest when you need to, but try to push the limits. You won’t be disappointed. I am 40 years old and am well on my way to getting into the best shape of my life!!!

  6. Here’s a tip – Costco, Wal-Mart, QVC.com, and Team Beachbody are retailing P90X for 119.85. The price is standard outside of used copies on eBay/Amazon. Don’t buy direct from the beachbody.com site or you’ll end up with the payment deal that ends up costing way more and is more a hassle. You can either purchase it thru a retail outlet as listed or join Team Beachbody and purchase it through your online retail portal which also offers easier ordering and you don’t have to deal with an outsourced phone rep. You also are registered for the message boards and assigned a coach once you register for Team Beachbody through their website.
